Products for the Mining Industry
Guhring's R&D division continues to create tools as per highest customer demands. The FL drill was developed for the mining industry in order to produce the holes to hold the carbide bits (slugs) for the rock drilling heads. Those drills are also known as single shot drills and have the ability to produce holes with extreme tight tolerance not exceeding 0.005 mm.
The tool achieves high positional accuracy with a hole to hole repeatability of 0.002 mm. The surface quality is in accordance with the roughness classification N6/N7 acc. DIN 1302 (reaming quality). The FL-drill is another example of Guhring’s ability to not only meet but exceed customer demands.
