What types of tools can Guhring re-sharpen?

We re-sharpen and coat a wide range of HSS and carbide rotating cutting tools, including jobber drills, step drills, gun drills, drill inserts, end mills, ballnose cutters, metric reamers, metric taps and countersinks.

Is it cost effective to re-sharpening all types of tools?

Not always. This depends on the initial cost of the tool, however in most cases carbide tools are worthwhile getting re-sharpened and coated. The re-sharpening of most HSS tools is not cost-effective.

Where is the Re-Sharpening and coating done?

All re-sharpening and coating of precision tools is done at Guhring’s Service Center in Melbourne using our own grinding and coating machines.

Can Guhring offer fast delivery on special tools?

Yes, with one of the largest stock range of carbide rods available in Australia and our own grinding and coating division, Guhring can manufacture and deliver special tools in the shortest possible turn around time.

Can Guhring re-sharpen competitor’s tools?

Yes, we can re-sharpen and coat a range of cutting tool geometries. We can also re-sharpen form cutters - provide us with a drawing and we can re-sharp even the most complex forms.
